The Review Pending Claims page allows you to evaluate AI-extracted facts (claims) before they are officially added to your Knowledge Base pillars. As Athena continuously processes your website, connected platforms, and uploaded documents, it discovers new claims. Claims that Athena extracts with high or medium confidence are automatically approved, but claims with lower confidence or missing context are placed here for a human to verify. By reviewing these pending claims, you ensure that your published Knowledge Base remains highly accurate and tightly organized, catching any misinterpretations before they influence your brand’s AI-generated content. What’s on the page
Page Header Displays the page title “Review pending claims” and a “Back to Knowledge Base” link. Description / Pagination Summary Explains the purpose of the page, noting that high and medium confidence claims auto-approve. When you have more than 100 pending claims, it shows the current range of claims you are viewing (e.g., “Showing 1–100 of 450”). Confidence Filter Tabs Lets you filter the pending claim queue by the AI’s confidence level.- All: Shows all pending claims regardless of confidence level.
- High: Shows only high-confidence pending claims.
- Medium: Shows only medium-confidence pending claims.
- Low: Shows only low-confidence pending claims.
- Checkbox: To select the row for bulk actions.
- Claim Text: The actual fact extracted by Athena.
- Pillar Link: The knowledge base pillar the claim is assigned to. If clicked, it takes you to that pillar’s detail page. If missing, it reads “No pillar assigned”.
- Confidence Badge: Indicates if the claim is High, Medium, or Low confidence.
- Source Type Badge: Shows where the claim originated (e.g., research, upload, response).
- Source Link: A link to the original webpage or document the claim was extracted from.
- Source Quote: An optional blockquote showing the exact text snippet from the source material.
- Action Buttons: Per-row “Approve” (check) and “Reject” (X) buttons.
What you can do here
- Navigate back: Click “Back to Knowledge Base” in the top-left to return to the main Knowledge Base dashboard.
- Filter by confidence: Click the “All”, “High”, “Medium”, or “Low” tabs to narrow the list of claims you are reviewing.
- Select individual claims: Click the checkbox on the left side of any claim row to add it to your current selection.
- Select all visible claims: Click the checkbox in the claims list header to select or deselect all 100 claims currently visible on the page.
- Approve claims in bulk: With multiple claims selected, click the “Approve” button (check icon) in the bulk action bar. This approves all selected claims that have a pillar assigned, filing them under their respective pillars and incrementing each pillar’s claim count. Claims without a pillar are skipped. Hovering over the button shows a tooltip explaining exactly how many claims will be approved across how many pillars (e.g., “Approve X claims across Y pillars”), or warns you if some selected claims cannot be approved due to a missing pillar (“X selected claims can’t be approved: no pillar assigned”).
- Reject claims in bulk: With multiple claims selected, click the “Reject” button (X icon) in the bulk action bar. This rejects all selected claims, including those without a pillar, removing them from the pending queue.
- Approve a single claim: Click the checkmark icon on the far right of a specific claim row to approve it. If the claim has no pillar assigned, the button is disabled and hovering shows the tooltip “Assign to a pillar before approving”.
- Reject a single claim: Click the X icon on the far right of a specific claim row to reject it and remove it from the queue.
- View the source material: Click the “Source” link (with the arrow pointing up and right) on a claim row to open the original URL in a new browser tab.
- View the assigned pillar: Click the linked pillar name on a claim row to navigate to that pillar’s detail page.
- Navigate pages: Click the “Next” or “Previous” buttons at the bottom of the page to browse through batches of 100 claims. Navigating clears your current selection.
Data shown
The page displays pending claims extracted by Athena for your currently active website. These are newly discovered facts that have not yet been approved or rejected, and are not considered duplicates of existing claims. The list is paginated in batches of 100 and can be filtered by the AI’s confidence level (high, medium, or low).Common workflows

- The total count and pagination will update to reflect only the filtered queue.
- Review and approve or reject claims within that confidence tier.
- Switch back to the “All” tab to see the full remaining queue.
- When more than 100 claims are pending, the pagination bar appears at the bottom of the page.
- Click “Next” to advance to the next page of 100 claims. Note that this clears your current selection.
- Click “Previous” to go back to the prior page.
- After a bulk approve or reject action empties the current page you are looking at, the view automatically returns to the first page so you don’t land on an empty screen.
Empty, loading, and error states
- Empty: When no claims match your current filter, a card with a dashed border appears. For the “All” filter, it says “Nothing to review” / “All extracted claims have been reviewed.” If using a specific confidence filter, it says “No [confidence]-confidence claims pending” / “Try a different confidence filter.”
- Loading: While the claim list is fetching from the server, six gray placeholder (skeleton) rows are shown.
- Error: If a server action like approving or rejecting fails, a red error toast appears in the corner. If the website ID cannot be determined yet, a placeholder block is shown instead of the page content until the data resolves.
