The Insights page acts as the marketer’s weekly AI-driven action plan. It surfaces proactive weekly insights and content opportunities generated by Athena, analyzing the brand’s visibility across AI search engines. Instead of making the customer dig through raw charts and reports to find out what changed, this page highlights exactly what dropped, what competitors are doing, and where the most valuable gaps are. It pairs these insights with step-by-step action checklists and direct integrations into the content editor and Ask Athena chat, allowing the user to seamlessly turn analysis into prioritized tasks and published content. What’s on the page
Page Header & Navigation
- Page Header: Displays the title and the “Refresh Insights” button to trigger a new manual analysis run.
- Tab Navigation: Switches the main view between the “Insights” queue (proactive weekly analyses and checklists) and “Opportunities” (Athena’s content recommendations).
- Date Range Filter: A dropdown picker that filters the visible cards in both tabs based on the time period the insight covers.
Insights Tab
- Insights View Filter: Pill-shaped tabs labeled “Open”, “Done”, and “Discarded”. These filter the visible insight cards based on their completion status and display a count badge for how many items are in each state.
- Insight Cards: The primary containers for weekly insights. Each card includes a priority indicator (1-3 bars), an impact/effort label (e.g., “High impact, Low effort”), creation date, category badge, title, and an explanation of the finding.
- Supporting Data View: Inside the left panel of an Insight Card, clicking “Supporting Data” replaces the description with a table showing the raw data that triggered the insight.
- Action Panel: The right half of the Insight Card. It provides an interactive checklist of tasks needed to resolve the insight.
Supporting Data Table (inside Insight Card)
This table appears when a user clicks the “Supporting Data” button on an insight card, showing the specific data points that back the recommendation.- Label: The name or description of the data point (e.g., the name of a tracked prompt, a competitor, or a metric).
- Value: The corresponding numerical value, percentage, or measurement for that data point.
Content Opportunities Tab
- Recommendation Cards: A grid of cards labeled “Create” or “Optimize”. Each card shows a priority score, title, an explanation of “why now”, and action buttons to begin or dismiss the work.
- In Progress: A subsection showing recommendations the user has already started working on, sorted by the most recently started.
- To Do: A subsection of available, un-started recommendations sorted by priority score (highest first).
- Lower Priority: A collapsible disclosure section hiding recommendations with a score below 50 (only appears if higher-priority work exists above it).
- Filtered out by date: A collapsible section showing recommendations that fall outside the currently selected date range.
- Completed & Deleted: Collapsible sections at the bottom showing past published recommendations or recommendations the user previously discarded (along with their discard reason).
Free Plan Gate
- Lock Screen: If an organization is on the Free plan, the entire Insights page content is replaced by a lock screen explaining that Insights is a paid feature, alongside a “View plans” button.

Common support questions
- Why can’t I see the Insights page? Insights is a premium feature. If you are on the Free plan, you will see a lock screen prompting you to view plans and upgrade to access this page.
- Why didn’t my insight disappear after I checked all the action boxes? Checking all the boxes does not silently remove the insight. A confirmation dialog asking “Mark this insight as done?” will appear. You must confirm this prompt to formally move it to the Done tab.
- How do I undo a “Mark done” or “Discard” action? Currently, there is no way to revert or undo a resolved insight from the user interface. Cards in the Done and Discarded tabs hide their action buttons entirely.
- Where did my low-score content opportunities go? If you have high-priority work to do, recommendations with a score below 50 are automatically collapsed into a “Lower priority” section at the bottom of the “To do” list. Click the arrow next to “Lower priority” to reveal them.
- Why does the Ask Athena button have a lock or say “Upgrade to access Ask Athena”? This occurs if your specific plan does not have Ask Athena enabled. However, Ask Athena is currently universally enabled for all users by default, so this tooltip should rarely appear.
